This week I posted about the theme music of TV show.
On last day, I would like to post about this album.
When I began to listen jazz,my jazz’s freinds liked Art Pepper.
But I became to like Bud Shank than Art Pepper.
I began to collect his records.
This record is unusual, but do not have much popularity.
I suppose most jazz fans were not fond of their performance with a string ensemble.
Bud Shank and Bob Cooper had two of the most talented and imaginative practitioners of contemporary music.
The fundamentally original arrangements to be found in this album were the work of Bob Cooper.
Fortunately I was able to post my favorite record in my blog.
Finally, I will introduce a fun website.
Walt Disney had produced many television series since 1954.
He wanted to produce a television program in order to finance the development of the Disneyland amusement park.
For first sixty years, his show used the song “When You Wish Upon a Star” as its theme.
The following is a memory of my childhood.

In Japan, this show was provided by Mitsubishi Electric, which was entitled “Mitsubishi Diamond Hour”.
This program was broadcasted at 20 pm in Friday.
Incidentally, it was once broadcast in two weeks.
Because It was bi-weekly broadcast with Japan Pro Wrestling relay.
At that time ‘Rikidozan’ was the most famous professional wrestler in Japan.
I was looking forward to see Walt Disney and Rikidozan.

In Japan a new TV show will be televised from April.
This week I post about the theme music of an old TV show.
First, I will introduce my favorite theme song.
Tenderly was a popular song published in 1946 with music by Walter Gross and lyrics by Jack Lawrence.
This song has been recorded by many artists, but perhaps the best-known version was by Rosemary Clooney.
Tenderly served as the theme song for Rosemary Clooney’s 1956-1957 TV variety show.
