Today I want to post about Jane Monheit.
She was growing up on Long Island in New York.
At 17 age, she studied clarinet and theory and started vocal training at the Manhattan School of Music.
She won the second prize in the 1998 Thelonious Monk Jazz Competition.
Recently, I heard ’Rio De Maio’ with Ivan Lins.
He talked about meeting with her.
”When I had appeared in the New York Blue Note,almost every day, there was a woman who came to listen for my performance.
At my last stage, I thought “she was really enthusiastic fan. That lady was Jane .”
